“We are looking for new volunteers in connection with the flood threat and asking when they can be available. We can provide help almost immediately if the need arises,” said Daniela Vonbauer, Manager of the MUNI HELPS Volunteer Centre.
Anyone, whether a student, graduate or employee of Masaryk University, automatically becomes part of the university’s volunteer database after completing their profile in the application. The mobile app can be downloaded from this link or from the web.
Those interested can apply now and then fill in a short form to indicate when they are available. The Volunteer Centre can then contact them according to current needs.
MUNI HELPS will also provide flood clean-up assistance to staff and students affected by the natural disaster.
If you need help, individuals can contact the Volunteer Centre using this form; organisations can use this link.
Masaryk University and its MUNI HELPS Volunteer Centre are also in contact with the crisis management unit of the South Moravian Region and the affected districts of Brno-South and Brno-Centre, which can ask for help if necessary. MUNI HELPS is currently helping in Přízřenice and Maloměřice (municipal districts of Brno). The same assistance is offered to other parts of Brno.
