The Scala University Cinema and Bolek Polívka Theatre will be temporarily closed with immediate effect until at least 24 February. The decision to close was made based on a structural engineer’s assessment of the building’s structural integrity in connection with the upcoming renovation of Bolek Polívka Theatre.
Waste is among the negative impacts on the environment. Masaryk University attempts to reduce the production of waste and, at the same time, to increase the proportion of recyclable waste. The management of the university has approved the Strategy for sustainable waste management and prevention of waste production.
Masaryk University’s PhD students can look forward to significant improvement of their financial situation. The amount of support granted to full-time doctoral study programme students will be increased by 25%, from CZK 12,000 to CZK 15,000 per month, according to the most recent measure issued by Rector Martin Bareš.
